Let's break it down.
The youtube clips only show a small part of the Saudi military.
The clips are made by the Houthi side.
So taking it with a small bucket of salt is a good idea.
Still, in those clips the Saudi forces do not take cover, do not use smoke, etc.
They seem pretty overwhelmed.
I was wrong about the year of the last Saudi intervention. It was 2009, how time flies.
There was a discussion about it in the forum.
User Keren-Or posted (post 18) a
link from wikileaks describing failures of the Saudi military.
The wiileaks document is written by american diplomats describing the situation in the KSA.
Now, I get your point. The KSA has the best equipment, and as you posted below is able to bomb far away using advanced CCC capabilities.
The KSA air force clearly leaves the Iranians in the dust, and is able to strike Irans oil facilities, military sites, etc. and succeed in it's missions.
I dubt this is enough to win a war for the Saudis.
The Iranian leadership will blink first only if it sees a real possibility that they lose power in Iran. It was pretty close in 2009 during the protests.
To do that the Saudis have to disable the Iranian leadership.
Can the Saudis get the intelligence to do it, even with help from the us or others (roll eyes)?
Even with the intel, the Iranians have 20 years of quiet conflict and assassinations, so Iran is probably ready.
