first Scan Eagle, was landed in a rice field in early 2006,
in early stages, IRGC Air force was using a device for sending intensive and centralized Electromagnetic waves on target ( from different location for more effect) causing it's certain boards unaccessable for it's central processor.
in fact it was very simple and innovative, and hardest part was targeting moving drone for a certain period of time.
in this type of attack, drone becomes uncontrollable, but unfortunately, some of the circuits and memory will get permanent damage too.
For example, I can tell that all of it's memory was completely destroyed and only log data and data location remained healthy.
this drone violated our territories for several times. in the 7th or 8th stage, a night before capture we decide to cover rice fields with water.( gosh, Lack of equipments)
The next day drone entered the region with very low altitude and high speed.
About 10 seconds after sending the noise,engine sound become very treble and instead of a soft landing,drone got down vertically,
in fact this attack increased drone's speed instead of turning it off.
After sending waves (they called it,the scourge of God) drone just hit the ground like a meteorite.
probably whatever happend in engin control unit, the same thing has happen for the flap step motors, cause wing's flaps were in maximum drag state.
Cruise altitude was so low that noise signals damaged some of the cell phones in the town.(memory loose, ...)
in the result of heavy crash,unfortunately optical cover and it's lens destroyed. this problem solved in later hunts by using nets.
after crash still it's engine was working so we cut off it's spark plugs.
fuel hose was torn but it enjoyed a high tech to block itself in the the case of exposure to air and stretch. This was really interesting for our material staff.
petrol tank was built using grade one fiber carbon and was intact.
crash mostly impacted on Optics section ,prevented of further harm to Nano SAR section,fortunately noises didn't harm the radar, so it was completely healthy and we send it to Tehran the same day.
interestingly the mother ship was sending rescue signal even an hour after the crash .
Note that the rescue signal circuit does not use battery power. But charges itself by receiving strong rescue signal and then discharges by sending replying signal.
However, after the fall we isolated the drone to prevent it's responds(we were prepared for such a scenario)
More interestingly the square above the drone is place of the rescue circuit which other ignorants think it's GPS navigation position.
position of GPS is in front of the wing root line and above the SAR radar.
most of the damages was given by the small rocks which you can see it's signs on the body. however optical lens was broken, but it's UV-Vis and CCD was healthy.
The most important part in the report of the polymer staff was small gasket between the engine and chassis interface which have the highest technology to prevent the transmission of engine vibrations to the drone body.
Now some good news:
Radar-absorbent coating and carbon fiber and alloy blade and the detector is now fully localized.
remains SAR radar which is under development and probably will finish in one year.one of our aircraft will be equipped with this radar, I don't know maybe qaher313.
