لا يبدو أن اللبنانيين، بنسختهم السياسية، بصدد الاتفاق على شيء. فكما هم مختلفون على مجمل الملفات العالقة منذ سنوات في الداخل، شأنهم في ذلك شأن خلافاتهم حول مجمل أوضاع المنطقة، كان للعدوان الإسرائيلي على غزّة النصيب عينه من الانقسام اللبناني حيال أبعاده وأهدافه ومجرياته ونتائجه، وإنْ اتّفقوا في الشكل على الوقوف إلى جانب الشعب الفلسطيني ونضاله التاريخي.

في هذا السياق، أكد عضو تكتل "التغيير والإصلاح" النائب آلان عون، لموقع "NOW"، أن "اللبنانيين جميعهم متضامنون إلى أبعد الحدود مع الفلسطينيين، ويؤيدون القضية الفلسطينية، لكنهم لا يتدخلون في مجرى الأحداث في قطاع غزة إلا بما يتعلق بحماية الأراضي اللبنانية إذا ما وقع اي عدوان اسرائيلي عليها"، وشدد عون على أن "اللبنانيين ليسوا جزءاً من الحرب التي تدور رحاها بين إسرائيل وحركة حماس"، مشيراً إلى أن "لبنان يتضامن مع الشعب والمقاومة في فلسطين تضامناً سياسياً ومعنوياً وعاطفياً، والموضوع يقف عند هذا الحد".
