When I was a young kid, back in the 50's and early 60's, we used to collect what we then simply called
תמונות
These pictures used to come with different products: Gum, Artik, Lollypops(sukariot al makel), and other stuff which I no longer remember.
I will give you some examples:
Pictures of ANIMALS
ATHLETES, especially ISRAELI SOCCER PLAYERS(Glazer, Hodorov, etc)
SAMSON and DELILAH, the movie
DAVID and BATHSHEBA, the movie
HaNODED, a very popular movie from INDIA
WEAPONS, these had a few Series: Battleships, Jet Fighters, Tanks, and smaller arms
FLAGS of different countries
FAMOUS LANDMARK BUILDINGS: Taj Mahal, Empire State Building
MOVIE STARS
Anybody remember those? If you have any recallections I would be very happy to hear them.
