קולות נפץ שמקורם לא ידוע באזור ,במקביל פירסמה סטכנות הידיעות הלבנונית שישראל ביצעה ירי ארטילרי לאזור שבעא.
SIDON, Lebanon: Explosions could be heard as originating from the Israeli-occupied Shebaa Farms Tuesday, but Lebanese security forces are unable to visually confirm the incident. Speaking to The Daily Star on condition of anonymity, security sources said visual traces of the explosion were not detectable, saying the blast might have occurred further into the occupied Golan Heights. Meanwhile, the National News Agency reported that the Israeli army shelled parts of the Golan Heights earlier Tuesday, targeting nearby Shebaa Farm towns. Security forces were on Tuesday searching for an “object” that Israeli warplanes dropped between the towns of Talousa and Houla in the South, the National News Agency reported. NNA said the fighter jets dropped the object in a valley between the two southern towns. But security forces were finding difficulty scouring the area over the presence of cluster bombs left over from the 2006 war between Israel and Hizbullah, the agency added. The incident happened the same day the Israeli military launched drills in the occupied Shebaa Farms and Golan Heights.

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon was on Tuesday conducting patrols along the border with Israel after the Jewish state launched huge military exercises in the occupied Shebaa Farms area and the Golan Heights, media reports said. They said citizens in southern Lebanon heard sounds of huge explosions coming from the Farms zone. The National News Agency reported that the Shebaa Farms were hit by 75 shells. The Israeli military said last week that it was gearing up together with U.S. forces for a major missile defense exercise. The drill is called "Austere Challenge 12" and is designed to improve defense systems and cooperation between the U.S. and Israeli forces. It follows a 10-day Iranian naval exercise near the strategic Strait of Hormuz. Both Israeli and U.S. officials said the exercise would be the largest-ever joint drill by the two countries.
