Egyptian forces find tank of unknown origin in Sinai
Al-Arish – Ma'an – Egyptian security services were surprised to discover a military tank in the center of the Sinai peninsula near the border with Israel, security sources in the country said.
The tank may have been swept into Egypt by the recent floods in the region, originating from Israeli territories, Egyptian security sources said, adding that it may also be a ordnance remaining from previous military confrontations with Israel.
Egyptian authorities are investigating the incident. In January, two Israeli military vehicles were swept into Egyptian territories as a result of flooding.
