Is there a possibility to include more details in the EXIF we are loading? I would prefer to see some more information like the focal length, exposure compensation, flash, max/min aperture, etc
I think that by getting this more detailed info we can learn and give some better comments (like, "why didn't you open the aperture?" - because this was the maximum) unless you would say it is impossible in this forum system

This is not true-this data is being kept together with the picture without entering it manually. Just look at the advanced properties of one of your pictures in your machine

כל תמונה שיש לה EXIF שומרת הרבה יותר נתונים ממה שהשרת של פרש מראה.
כדי שניראה יותר צריך שבשרת יהיה מנגנון(לא ממש מנגנון אבל אלמנט כלשהו) שיקרא את הנתונים בדיוק כמו שהוא קורא את אלו שרואים עכשיו ומפרסם גם אותם.
רועי, תבדוק אם מנהלי פרש אם ניתן, זה יותר קשור לתוכנה, לא הצד החזק שלי.

There is a really cute feature called "View Exif". Run a quick search in this forum, and you will soon find links to install. It can work with IE and FireFox. View Exif will allow you to view the full exif of any image loaded in your web browser by right-clicking it, and choosing "view exif" from the appearing window.

What you say is doable, only I'm not a programmer, and Roee will have to find someone to edit the EXIF code into something smarter.
In the meanwhile - try downloading and installing this really small feature "View Exif". I am sure your german friends will not mind :-). Good luck

האם לדעתכם יש צורך במערכת EXIF הדומה למה שיש באתר PBASE ?
(הכוללת EXIF מצומצם ומורחב)

האם לדעתכם יש צורך במערכת כזו או דומה לזו בפורום שלנו? האם יהיה קל יותר מאשר שימוש בתוכנה ViewExif ?

אבל לי זה לא כ"כ מפריע כי View Exif עובדת אצלי מצוין... אבל זה יכול להקל על אנשים אחרים...

דווקא לא נראה שזה יהיה עדיף... כי אז הדף יהיה הרבה יותר גדול ומסורבל... (כי החלון ייקח יותר מקום...)

וגם View Exif מראה יותר מידע גם מהמערכת של PBase...
לדעתי אפשר להשאיר את זה ככה ואפשר בנוסף למי שרוצה להשתמש ב View Exif שמראה את כל המידע שזקוקים לו...

If you would look at D-SPOT you will see that they found a way to put all the info without making it a huge page. And I think it is better to have all the info infront of your eyes
I also installed ViewExif and it works fine, but I still think it will be better to have it with no additional mouse click

maya, isn't the small EXIF version good enough?

it has just about all the important stuff. Aperture, Shutter-Speed and Focal Length
and ofcourse camera manifacturer and model.

Narxx, It does not have focal length, only shutter speed, aperture, ISO and camera model. I don't know, I find this additional info in the exif very useful. Take the focal length for example-it sometimes can explain why the picture is so flat , or when someone asks why doesn't he got a lower field depth
In addition, many time you can see here remarks like "why didn't you open/closed the aperture", and if we would have the info regarding min/max aperture it would have explained itself right away
I believe it can be useful - it is not a must to have, more a nice to have it

By "the small exif" i ment pbase's small exif:

this has shutter speed, paerture and focal length. it doesn't show iso but, who cares about iso anyway?

about the aperture - there's not that much of difference in depth of field between f/4.5 and f/2.8
seriuosly - if someone is using the kit lens of an example, getting max paerture of 4.5, i doubt anyone will ask him "why didn't you open it a bit more?" can't see that happens.
differences are too small to notice

What i've posted here in this message, for my opinion, is just about enough data
and installing view exif is really simple. why not installing it and get it all over with?

Narxxkush, I thought you are refering to our small exif that currently exist in the forum, I was not aware you are actually refering to Roi's suggestion
In any case, as I said it before, we do not have to have it, we can all use viewexif, but I just think it has some useful information that can teach us more and the best way is that you have it all infront of your eyes
BTW I got the idea from D-SPOT, when I look there it is very convenient
