SU-35
Su-35 (Su-27M) is a single-seat attack fighter that first flew in 1988. the Su-27M (Su-35) never entered service. The Su-35 and Su-37 are made in Komomolsk-na-Amure. The Su-35 is equipped with 14 guided air-to-air missiles of very long, medium and increased range with active, semi-active and passive radar and infrared seekers. The aircraft can carry out a strike against ground and surface targets with missiles with television and remote command guidance, guided or unguided aerial bombs, cluster bomb units and rockets. There also is a built-in 30-mm aerial cannon at his disposal.
Like the Su-33 it features small wings near the cabin to enhance manoeuvrability. The AL-31F engine in the Su27 was upgraded to the AL-35F. The AL-35F is more fuel efficent giving more time on station or a greater range. It is also lighter and provides more thrust. Combined with the larger amount of composites and redesigned fueselarge, the Su-35 is a lighter aircraft with a higher amount of thrust, and thus an improved thrust to weight ratio. It also has new digital pilot control and digital engine control systems, replacing the analog computers in the original Su-27. The radar, allows the detection of aerial targets at a range up to 400 kilometers, and ground targets at a distance up to 200 kilometers, the simultaneous tracking of up to 15 aerial targets and attacking not fewer than 6 simultaneously with missiles. The improved "Zuk" ("Scarab") radar features a mobile (+/- 130 degree) antenna which can follow position of 24 targets with ability to fire to 8 of them. The rear "sting" has a radiolocation system, which moved back the center of gravity, and which along with other innovations improve its tactical ability. Armaments includee: R-77, R-73, KS-172, R-27EM/AE, R-27E, R-27, H-31, H-29L/T, KAB-500L/KR, KAB-1500, H-15, H-65, H-59M, S-25LD, 500kg and 250 kg bombs.
As of early June 2002 Sukhoi's Su-35 fighter jet was said to have a "close to 90 percent" chance of being the winner in a Brazilian tender to buy up to 24 new supersonic fighters for $700 million. Sweden's Saab is bidding in the contest together with BAE with its Gripen fighter, while Embraer and Dassault are offering a version of Dassault's Mirage strike plane

AN/APG-77 Radar
The AN/APG-77 radar is the F-22's primary sensor and is a long-range, rapid-scan, and multi-functional system. A Northrop Grumman-led joint venture with Raytheon is developing the active-element electronically scanned array radar. Northrop Grumman is also responsible for the radar sensor design, software, and systems integration. The AN/APG-77 radar is an active-element, electronically scanned (that is, it does not move) array that features a separate transmitter and receiver for each of the antenna's several thousand, finger-sized radiating elements. Most of the mechanical parts common to other radars have been eliminated, thus making the radar more reliable. This type of antenna, which is integrated both physically and electromagnetically with the airframe, provides the frequency agility, low radar cross-section, and wide bandwidth necessary to support the F-22's air dominance mission. The radar is key to the F-22's integrated avionics and sensor capabilities. It will provide pilots with detailed information about multiple threats before the adversary's radar ever detects the F-22.
The AN/APG-77 radar antenna is a elliptical, active electronically scanned antenna array of 2000 transmitter/receive modules which provides agility, low radar cross section and wide bandwidth. The radar is able to sweep 120 degrees of airspace instantaneously. In comparison to the F-15 Strike Eagle's APG-70 radar takes 14 seconds to scan that amount of airspace. The APG-77 is capable of performing this feat by electronically forming multiple radar beams to rapidly search the airspace
The APG-77 radar offers significant advantages over previous combat radars. Among its most attractive benefits is the integration of agile beam steering. This feature allows a single APG-77 radar to carry out multiple functions, such as searching, tracking, and engaging targets simultaneously. Agile beam steering also enables the radar to concurrently search multiple portions of airspace, while allowing continued tracking of priority targets.
