בידיעות אחרונות של היום ראו את המתקן, סוג של אנקול, כמו עגלה קטנה בצורת האות "ר" עם גלגלים.

לא משוכלל במיוחד, אבל פשוט - ואם הם הצליחו לעבור חומה בגובה 9 מטרים עם ציוד מלא עליהם, אז זה גם עובד.

באחת החדירות מלבנון אל תוך ישראל, המחבלים השתמשו במתקן שנראה כמו מקפצה של בריכה, כדי לדלג מעל הגדר האלקטרונית.
לדעתי הבעיה היא בכך שנותנים להם להתקרב על הגדר - אם הם יכולים לגעת בה, או מספיק קרוב כדי לדלג מעליה אז הם יעשו זאת.
מיקוש, פסי דריכה ותילים ממעידים זאת לא המצאה חדשה. הם אפילו לא חייבים להיות מחוברים למטען נפץ/רסס קטלני אלא לאמצעי שיזעיק את הכוחות - זה יכול להיות מחובר בשקט לחמ"ל או להפעיל פצצת תאורה. להציב חומת בטון גבוהה ולצפות שהכל יהיה בסדר זה wishful thinking.

בכל זאת לא אני לא חושב שצריך איזה פרופסור להנדסה באיראן בשביל לבנות דבר כזה

גם הגולן מתרחה במכרזי ה MRAP אבל לא רואים בתמונות של הניסויים ושל הרכבים שנשלחים לעירק ואפגניסטן.
מעניין אם כבר נשלחו רכבים כאלו מהחוזה לייצור של 60 רכבים נסיוניים.
בכל מקרה נראה שרפא"ל קצת פספסה את הרכבת. אמנם מדובר בתאוריה על חוזים לכמה שנים לייצור של 21,000 כלי רכב, אבל כל החוזים המשמעותיים ל 08\2007 כבר נחתמו ( כ-4000 כלי רכב) ואם רפאל בונה על חוזים עתידיים אז כבר מדברים על יציאה של הצבא האמריקאי מעירק ב 10\2009 וכנראה שהם כבר לא יצטרכו עוד רכבים ממוגני גחון אז.
אז מי שלא קפץ על הרכבת עכשיו אולי נשאר מאחור.

יש לדעתי כמה סיבות לכך:
1) הגולן לא מתאים לקטגוריה שבה הוא מתחרה. הוא מתחרה בקטגוריה 2 ששם יש בעיקר רכבים 6X6 והוא רכב עם הנעה של 4X4.

2) השותפה האמריקאית של רפא"ל במכרז מתחרה גם בקטגוריה 1 ביחד עם שותפה אחרת שמתחרה בקוגוריה 2 ויתכן שבגלל זה הם לא התאמצו כלכך.

3) יתכן ומהתחלה היו מרוצים מהחוזה ההתחלתי לייצור 60 רכבים בלבד ולא כיוונו גבוהה יותר.

4) יתכן וכל הכווה היתה למצוא שותפים אמריקאים כדי שניתן יהיה לקנות את הגולן לצה"ל בכספי הסיוע.
