I went up to the Hermon with the kids during the holiday and used the opportunity to take some photos to illustrate this thread.
In the first one taken to the south-soutwest from the rachbal elyon, you can see where the old BTR used to be.
The next two are taken from the visitors' skilift, and show the T34 turret which is lying near the base one of the columns of the main skilift to the north. There is a piece of track nearby but no sign of the hull.
I heard that there where no roads here before the 67 war, and as far as I know the Syrians didn't use tanks during the battles for the Hermon in 73. So does anyone have any idea how it got here?
Or the story behind the BTR?
