עד שנות השמונים סוף שלטון השאה איראן היתה הדידה הטובה ביותר של המערב וישראל כך שצבא היה מורכב מנשק מערבי בעיקרו אמריקי איראן קנתה את הf-4 וf-14 בשלטון השאה כך שאלא מטוסים מלפני 25 שנה אז אתה לא צריך להיבהל האיראנים לא קנו f-15 לי זה נראה כמו mig-29
