i have an alcatel speed touch home that i turned into router...
i tryed to forward all signals to my computer ip by "defserver" in the telnet,
after that it couldnt resolve hostnames, even after i cancelled the operation by "defserver = 0"
i also tryed to reset the modem and re config it to make it pro, but the problem still
though it can resolve internal hostnames, which means, i it can resolove "speedtouch.lan" for istance
but it cant resolve external hostnames... which means i cant open websites or conect to IRC server by typing the hostname of it only by typing the ip address of the irc server or the website

the problem is a router problem cuz i tryed it on the 3 computers in my network

does anyone have any idea what can it be?

ok guyz... i solved the problem... it was stupid
it was the DNS (both primary and secondry) of my isp...
i removed them from the config, i replaced them with "none" and it worked... so dont use them ... cuz the router will detect them automaticaly, the ones in the guide are old
