Swedish officers training in a simulated environment at the MSS (Ground forces combat school). This week a battalion staff from Skaraborg's regiment (P4) trains at MSS. The staff gets orders from the brigade commander, and have to give their own company commanders orders. The benefits with training in a simulated environment is that there are no limitations as to what kind of missions you can run, and it is cost effective. But Ola Palmquist, commander of the training unit, says that it is important to remember that simulated training can never replace real exercises out in the field, only act as a supplement to them.
