Saudi Arabia to purchase DF-21 Chinese-made ballistic missile with the agreement of U.S.

According to a Newsweek report on internet, in 2007, Saudi Arabia has agreed to purchase Chinese ballistic missile DF-21 with the approval on United States. The U.S. Central Intelligence Agency agrees the deal after confirming that they were not the nuclear-capable variants of the missiles.

UK, France sign joint defense agreement, commit to ANL FASGW(H) anti-ship missile program

The UK and France have agreed to strengthen defence cooperation following a Summit at RAF Brize Norton. A communiqué signed by the Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Hollande sets out plans for closer ties between the two countries. Among other things, the two countries have signed a Memorandum of Understanding confirming joint orders for the future FASGW(H)/ANL helicopter launched anti-ship missile.

On February 4, 2014 the first batch of five T-84 Oplot main battle tanks arrived to the Kingdom of Thailand. Ukrainian tanks produced by the State Enterprise “Malyshevplant” arrived to the Port of Sattahip (Thailand) where they were discharged and directed to the place of acceptance testing. First Indian MiG-29 Fighter Jet Lands on Vikramaditya

An Indian MiG-29 naval jet landed on a refitted former Soviet aircraft carrier Friday, marking the first such operation since the ship was delivered by Russia to the south Asian nation earlier this year

“An exciting event took place today – the first landing of an [Indian] MiG-29 piloted by an Indian pilot on the Vikramaditya,” Russia’s United Shipbuilding Corporation vice president Igor Ponomarev told reporters at the ongoing DEFEXPO-2014 exhibition in New Delhi.
The Indian Navy commissioned its first squadron of MiG-29K/KUB carrier-based fighters in 2013. The squadron, dubbed the “Black Panthers,” comprises 12 single-seat MiG-29Ks and four two-seat MiG-29KUBs, which Russia supplied under a 2004 contract with the Indian Defense Ministry. The aircraft have until now been stationed at an airbase in Dabolim, in the state of Goa on India’s west coast.

In January 2010, New Delhi and Moscow signed a deal worth $1.2 billion for the delivery of an additional 29 MiG-29Ks to the Indian navy. The Vikramaditya is expected to carry up to 24 MiG-29K/KUB fighter jets

During Defexpo India 2014 held New Delhi, from February 6 to 9, 2014 Navy Recognition received some updates on the Indigenous Aircraft Carrier program from Cochin Shipyard representatives. INS Vikrant is the first aircraft carrier to be indigeneously built in India. Cochin Shipyard Limited is in charge of the project. Work on the ship's design began in 1999, the keel was laid in February 2009. The carrier was floated out of its dry dock on 29 December 2011 and was launched in August 2013.

On 24th January 2014, the Division of General Armaments (DGA) of the French Ministry of Defence placed an order for 250 logistic military trucks with the Iveco (CNH industrial Group) and Soframe (Lohr group) consortium. This batch forms part of the « Porteurs Polyvalents Terrestres » (PPT) programme, launched in 2010 to provide the French land forces with a fleet of modern logistic vehicles.

USMC V22 Osprey conducted deck trials onboard French Navy's Mistral Class LHD Dixmude

In January 2014 a United States Marine Corps (USMC) V22 Osprey landed for the first time onboard the Dixmude, a French Navy Mistral class LHD. The success of this experiment confirmed the full interoperability of Mistral class amphibious vessels with the means implemented by American Expeditionary Strike Groups. The French LHD are indeed fully interoperable with LCAC landing crafts, with heavy helicopters (Sikorsky CH53 Sea Stallion) and now with the Bell-Boeing V22 Osprey tilt rotor aircraft

German defense company Rheinmetall announced that a European navy has ordered two Oerlikon Millennium automatic cannon for one of its surface combatants. The contract is worth around €12 million, and also includes technical documentation, spare parts and services relating to maintenance training and system integration. Singapore Technologies Kinetics Ltd (ST Kinetics) announced today that it has entered into a marketing partnership with Gibbs Amphibians Ltd (Gibbs). The second MQ-8C Fire Scout unmanned helicopter conducts its first test flight Feb. 12 from Naval Base Ventura County at Point Mugu, Calif. The first aircraft completed its initial flight in October 2013 and has flown 66 hours to date. The MQ-8C air vehicle upgrade will provide longer endurance, range and greater payload capability than the MQ-8B, which is currently deployed aboard USS Elrod (FFG 55) in the Mediterranean.

Pakistan police has decided to procure at least 20 Serbian Lazar II armored fighting vehicles. .According to the Newspaper "The Express Tribune", the Pakistani police department had shown interest in buying APCs from foreign countries. To achieve the plan, the police logistics experts approached at least five countries – Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, Serbia and United States of America.

According a report from the "The Wall Street Journal", Saudi Arabia has agreed to provide Syrian rebels with weapons able to destroy modern main battle tanks and fighter aircraft.
